Serious Fire at Facility
To our customers, partners and community:
On Wednesday, September 22, we experienced a serious fire at our facility in Eagle Grove. While there is extensive damage to our building, equipment and supplies, we are thankful that no one was hurt. Our employees, the Eagle Grove Fire Department, Goldfield Fire Department, and other members of the community played an essential role in limiting the damage.
The Lewright Team is diligently working to restore production capacity but we are currently unable to process meat. At present, we are not able to predict when we will begin production, but we will provide periodic updates to this post to help you understand the status of our recovery. Our strong desire is to minimize our expected delays.
Continuing to service our customers and partners is an essential part of our business recovery. We welcome hearing from you if you have a question or request about an order or other matters of business operation. Don’t hesitate to call us at 515-448-3300. You are also welcome to email us at email@example.com.
Thanks in advance for your patience as we recover from this set-back. We love providing you with great tasting meats and we look forward to returning to full service as soon as we can.
Sincerely & on behalf of the Lewright Team,

About Lewright Meats
Welcome to Lewright Meats, a family business that was built in 1936 by our grandfather, H. L. Lewright, Sr., in Eagle Grove, Iowa. The beginning of the business was the involved with custom processing for beef and pork farmers. In 1963, his son, H. L. Jr., came into the business with him, and they began further developing their smoking and sausage making techniques.
In 1981, a son-in-law, Paul, joined the company and began developing the retail and wholesale aspect, using the old recipes and techniques of the past years. The high priority on quality meats has been upheld throughout the years, including the unique blends of spices, smoking techniques, and careful processing of all products.
